Pline Browse and Capture Workflow is simple to set up, enabling a quick method for data extraction where precision matters most.

Follow these three simple steps to quickly set up your Custom Browse and Capture Workflow.

Step 1: Getting Started

In this guide, we'll create a workflow to collect data on women’s sneakers from Amazon product listings.

  • Visit the detailed page of the target website.

  • Open the Pline extension.

  • Choose Browse and Capture mode and click 'Get started'.

  • Click on 'Build workflow'.

Step 2: Select Page Type

Websites display data in various formats, and Pline Browse and Capture mode provides four different page formats to match your target webpage, including:

  • Vertical List

  • Detail View

  • Grid

  • Table

This tutorial will demonstrate how to extract data using the Detail View format.

Step 3: Select Data Fields

  • Tag the data field you want to collect (e.g., Product_name)

  • Add a field name and extract type, then click Save.

You can also delete any data field by clicking the bin/delete icon.

  • Repeat the same process for the remaining fields (e.g., price, ratings).

  • Once you have selected all your required data fields for extraction, now click Next to proceed to the next step.

  • Now add a name to your workflow, and select Save workflow to finish.

That's it! You've successfully built your new custom Browse and Capture workflow, which is ready for precise data extraction from websites.

  1. Log in to Pline to save your customized Browse and Capture Workflow for future use.
