Multi Type Data Selector

The newly introduced Multi Data Type Selector in Pline enables seamless handling of multiple data formats within a single workflow for a more streamlined extraction experience.

Pline supports the following data formats:

  • Text: Extracts text-based content from web pages, such as titles and descriptions.

  • Link: Extracts hyperlinks, allowing users to collect URLs from pages and for inner data extraction.

  • HTML: Retrieves raw HTML code from web pages.

  • Class: Extracts CSS class attributes for styling data.

Get Started with Multi Data Type Selector

Follow these steps to use the Multi Data Type Selector in your workflows effectively:

Step 1: Create or Run a Prebuilt Browse and Capture Workflow

Start by creating a new workflow or running an existing Browse and Capture workflow in Pline.

Step 2: Select the Page Type and Group Similar Items

Choose the appropriate page type and group similar data elements for efficient extraction.

Step 3: Choose Multiple Data Types

Pline automatically suggests a data type based on the content, but you can manually select multiple attributes to extract various data types from the same content.

To extract multiple data types from the same content:

  1. Enter the field name of the automatically selected data type and click the (✓) button to proceed.

If you don't want the pre-selected data type, click the X button to advance.

  1. Select another data type and provide the appropriate field name.

  2. Click the check mark (✓) to proceed.

  3. Repeat the process with another data type.

  4. Once you have selected multiple data types with appropriate field names, select Save to continue.

After selecting the required data fields, assign a workflow name and save your configuration for future use.
